Small Business Marketing (Case Study 2)
Small Business Marketing (Case Study 2)
Thorn Performance Physiotherapy & Pilates
Small businesses begin in all sorts of ways, like a jigsaw you know what the end goal will look like from the picture on the box (the vision in your mind) it's a case of working out how to put all the bits together.
Some of the missing pieces I can help you with are:
1) The look and functionality of your Wix website
2) The social media streams you choose
3) Your printed marketing
After several years experience working as a fully qualified physiotherapist in Australia, Josie decided to set up her very own practise here in the Lutterworth Cross Fit Gym. Josie has a great space where she can treat her physiotherapy patients and also run pilates classes for beginners right through to advanced students.
1) WIX WEBSITE LESSONS
When I met Josie she had created a super logo on vista print and bought her website domain name, all she needed was a few hours of training to make her very own website on Wix.com.
We sat down together and created the structure in a few hours. I taught her some of the essential functions of Wix and from there she was able to confidently add her own contact boxes, images, text and link between pages. After a couple more hours of training Josie had put in an online booking system for her pilates classes and physiotherapy sessions.
2) SOCIAL MEDIA
To keep the branding consistent (my favourite thing) I made Josie some social media icons using her logo colours. These were added to the website and linked to the Thorn Performance media streams. They also came in useful for the printed marketing materials.
Josie can offer a wide range of services from her studio in Lutterworth. Alongside typical physiotherapy sessions she can perform acupuncture and sports massages. In the evenings Josie teaches pilates in classes which cater to beginner, intermediate, advanced and performance students. To help communicate the breadth of her services I designed a set of 'on brand' images and adverts so that Josie could keep posting about different aspects of her business.
3) PRINTED MARKETING
I believe that printed media is as important as your online presence. It's a place to offer the same information about your company and is often kept by people as a reference point.
I created some A5 flyers for Josie to leave in local sports clubs to advertise her physiotherapy and pilates classes to their members. The text condenses the overall message of her website into one easy to read piece. Perfect!
Josie is great at meeting new people and conveying what she does, to back this up I redesigned her business cards to hand to new contacts and clients. Alongside these I created some appointment cards in a similar design for her physiotherapy clients.
Josie asked for some simple posters to advertise all the ways people can get in touch with her about pilates or physiotherapy, which is a great example of how printed marketing can help people find and engage with you online.
